I was drawn to the subtlety of the color variation of this flower. I thought watercolor would be the perfect medium. I think it was.

Tulips are so much fun to paint. This one seemed to be proud of itself and so the name-Ta Da!

I love flowers and I love old things like this pot. Put them together and I have a winning combination!

Can you feel the warmth in this painting? I enjoy the early morning when the sun is just coming up. On this morning it was having a hard time getting through.

If you’ve seen very many of my paintings you know that I like to paint geraniums. These were at a friend’s house.

When I visited Paris I was surprised to see scenes like this. I thought that they only existed in the movies. It really is a beautiful city.

My husband and I had a lovely vacation on the Oregon Coast one summer. This was the view from our porch. I painted every day!

I did the flowers and leaves in colored pencil; then I poured several layers of watercolor over that. I had to go back and paint the flowers and leaves again but it was worth it!

There is a measure of peace and simplicity in such still life paintings.

I never tire of doing foliage. Let’s face it. Every leaf, flower, or berry is always different so you get a new and exciting subject to paint every time.
